Le Daiso

Hello, my name is Le Dai So and I come from Japan, the land of anything-also-we-can-invent. And so we have invented many many things that you can use for all parts of your house and yourself, regardless of whether it is of use or not. And yes, each item is RM5 only, regardless of whether you need it or not =D

And yes! I came back home with a stash of items which is still in their packaging, 2 weeks after the trip. That was my first time stepping into Daiso. Mei was yapping about how Daiso is like a heaven to anyone, everyone as you can practically and literally get anything under one roof. OK, maybe it's not a big deal to anyone of you out there. But it is to me =P

I am not a fan of mall-going. I find the process a bit too time consuming and lacks of productivity (people call sleeping as lacks of productivity too, but it's different ok!) So, I do not really know that places like Daiso exist. It only gave me an impression that they sell ugly fake flowers, rotten batteries from China, brittle plastic containers and those of such. Because there is a RM2 shop near my office that have the mentioned items =P

My loots - for only RM50!

I seriously have no idea why I bought these besides the fact that it seems cheap

Beauti-pon-pon! I have no idea what is this AT ALL

Nope, no idea at all. And it doesn't seem to suck any black or white heads. Can't be a massage device rite? O.o

On the same day, we went to Multifilla too - the destination for art-ster ;) I have been doing what I have been doing for so long that I think it is only logical that I try to dabble into the practical part of it - drawing batiks. For hobby sake of course ;)

Loots from Multifilla

It ain't easy to do it I must say. Which also explains why I never bother to go into the work studio where they stand and do their work for 8 hours a day (deducting the 3.5 hours spent on being idylic) But I always have this grand master plan to have a home studio to do some sort of artistic work. I can't do a dance studio obviously with that small lil space in this apartment here in Jinjang....but I really am eyeing the Lil Mynx Stripper Pole in eBay ;(
Alot of people thought I am setting up some photo studio area, seeing that I am constantly camwhoring. Camwhorers don't need a studio. Whores never stay permanent in a particular location Stupid.
It has also crossed my mind to have a sewing room to make fanciful sundresses, tunics and fra-la-la stuff :D
But I have no patience for sewing -__-

I am not sure what can I do with these stuff yet

Fabric colors at RM6 each! That's pretty cheap than doing batik.

It is now about 2 months after the visit to Daiso and Multifilla. Guess where is the frame now..
At the same spot as the first day when I brought it home......

Aiihhhh...

Again

I went to Sutra House today. Waited to enquire. Seated on the patio. A damn big creature plopped onto me. I suspect it's a lizard as when we looked up, there were 5 pieces of lizards hanging on the ceiling. Yes, 5 PIECES, I would call them so.

I don't know if I can fit myself comfortably in there. I feel the presence of intense competition. Of sheer pleasure pressure of not performing well. But I really needed to continue Odissi. Else it would not have been worthwhile for me to have been wishing to do it since the age of 15.

I mean, at the very least I have one item ticked off my To-Do List. I am so hoping this artistic journey would bring me somewhere other than finishing reports and meeting sales targets.

Starting class next month.. Wish me luck.

Namaste.

The Thing About Nails

... is that I use it to dig my teeth sometimes =D

For the past 30 years my nails have never really been good to me.. WAIT!! Lemme re-phrase- For the past 30 years I have never really been treating my nails well.
Yah, I do nothing to it. No treatment, no mani / pedi, no nail polish even.....merely bare nails.

Things that I do to my nails :D

If this is clearer than it is now, you may puke =P
(that's not nail polish btw, its some internal bruises due to extensive marathon-ing)

But I figure the time is right for me to start doing something to my nails. I figured no one will really look at my nails. Last week itself, I have just torn a few silk fabrics with my nails -__-  It literally pulled some threads in every batik fabrics that I have touched. Yup, I dress people up in batiks ;)

So I figured I must start some nail appreciation session. Between me and my nails. A private session.
I loved chunky rings.

like this

and like this

but it never occurred to me that the ring will only be further enhanced of its aesthetic appeal, if it is surrounded by a row of nicely painted nails  -__-

Idylic Post

Embroidered baju kurung from Bandung. Bemban hand weaved bag from the Sarawak weaver. Who can beat me in being an advocate of all things handicraft? :D

It is a new year already.. Financial new year to be precise. The accounts are closed for the fiscal year of 2009/2010. And I am looking forward to a new financial year. Mainly because I have never did very well, I think in my scope of work ;/

Work doesn't seem to get easier anyway, despite being in a new year for a couple of days. I fell sick on the 3rd day. But on a better note, I have orders on the 5th days. And some potential enquiries on the before that. I hope that will be a continuous good sign for me.

Suddenly I felt that the new financial year seems so importantly crucial for me. It's like so much more important than celebrating Chinese New Year. ( I should have some celebration prayers performed for Datok who jaga the office). But I am not going to bore everyone with my depression from work.

I only wanted to inform the world that I am going to ditch my old woman image of wearing my traditional attire ;)
OK, maybe it's not the attire's fault. Maybe I have been wearing the same thing for way too long that I need to look into getting new stuff. To fit my age =P

baju kurung set - 3 years old

U2 spag - 6 years old
black pants - 6 years old

chiffon self beaded top - 4 years old
bemban hand weaved bag - new ;P

I don't know why, but just because we sell batik, I always feel at ease to don something related to what we do. Afterall, if you are selling fried chicken, you can't be going around telling people that you like pizza. So I always have a pair of batik to change in the car during days when I am required to meet Datins, Puan Sris and Puan Puan whom I feel that they would prefer that I look like a Gadis Melayu Terakhir than any other amoi saleswoman

I don't think I will ever get to wear like this to work and not be scrutinised on my justification that this is a mere self-identity that I am portraying..

Oh well, I guess it's back to the basics again ;/
