Randomly Sunday

I am officially bored of running... 'yawn'..
Besides the fact that it is kinda bored attempting to run among hoardes of people, the once a year marathon is considered a short KL tour for me. Yeah, I took the marathon as an opportunity for me to get to know this city where I live in :)

Along the way, I got to know that Gulati's Silk House is actually occupying a 3 storey building. Maya Silk House too were quite impressive with their collection of fabrics displayed at the windows. I've discovered that there are at least 5 stalls selling this weird looking stapler that if you keep punching, it works like a sewing machine and are actually used to sew simple edges of your clothes or scarves and such.

And I have alse been made known of few new highway routes which has been newly constructed. I have also seen the different expression of drivers who have to stop their vehicles because at least 3,000 runners / sleazers / walkers / marathoner / athletes-wannabe are thronging the street in pursue of a finisher medal and a cup of 100 Plus at the end of the run.

And so, I got a finisher medal after the run clocking in a mere 1 hour 40mins perhaps. I don't know. Maybe. My KL tour have ended. And so..... another 12,38550 people too got their medals. And are happily clinging to it, biting on it and pose and wore it like a champion.

Then something hit me in my head. The picture of mom and some other old man and women. Whom I normally see while getting stuck in the jam. Most probably they have been walking for more than 1,000kms in their whole life and the walk have yet to end. They literally walked more than any of us so called runners would have ran on the day of the run. No doubt.

I felt so shameful. That damn medal is nothing. Or if it's something, the old folks deserve one too. As they have walked for the past 60 to 70 years with no complain and with no cheers of victory. They didn't get a medal, that I am sure. For a moment, I know that the run no longer matter to me. It didn't matter to the bunch of old people in my mind too. Most probably they are hating me and those other 12,395758 people in the run. As the roads are closed and they are most probably stuck in some smelly public transport waiting to get down in Puduraya and are sure to be an hour late as we, 12,394758 people are blocking the god-damn-road with our stomping feet..

I finished the run. And I felt bad. I felt remorseful. I think I shall not run anymore in future. People need to get to work and we are blocking the road. I am sorry to all public commuters.. ;(

On a random note, I went to Ryl Bazaar today. To see that woman who makes badges for a living and to meet up with Michelle of SuperModels' Secret.

Can you see what's wrong with me? Aside from the retarded face, of course.
Bangs from SuperModels' Secret :)

Please have a  look at what this badge woman did this time-
SQUARE BADGES!!

Unlike those that is in plastic and comes with a single type of font, exactly like what we wear during school time, this is so funky ok!
Can you guess which one have I bought?

of course the Datin one!! And I can't resist the I Am 30 one too since it's my birthday =) =)

I sometimes hate going to bazaars as I tend to contribute to helping to boost the economic situation of the bazaars by spending on anything and everything. Blame it on my disturbed childhood ;(  But once I am there, I love hanging out in bazaars!! ;)

Yeah, I have lost a lot of time in being young and quirky at ages where I should be YOUNG and QUIRKY.
I feel liberated going to bazaars making new friends. Friends who have never lost their sense of quirkiness (I suspect they carried forward their quirkiness since childhood). I love developed the love of sitting behind the badges rack and sticking out bowls to keen buyers when I am at Mei's stall. It's so much stress relieving than thinking who else can I sell the batiks to -__-

Cool statement badges from Eff-Bombs

She rarely  updates on her badges. Wait... She never does! Anyway, if you are keen, do e-mail her and get yourself a couple of custom badges for yourself or family members or even your cosplay team! =D

On another note, I will be doing a review of the Balo Slimming Gel soon. Yeah, slimming gel,so synonym with my body fats eh... ;(  Keep tuning in to YourShoppingKaki from time to time if you want to rid some cellulite too.

Balo Slimming Gel now available at Supermodels' Secrets

HAPPY MONDAY AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

The a-MEI-zing chain!

This week, I tried the Tim Burton's inspired make up style which I found in Youtube

the one done from office

and the one intensified when I got home ;)

I dreamt of chains yesterday. I dreamt of regretting not to own a set of this god-know-what-metal-chain thing that I saw in Eff-Bombs. It was after 12,3456 times of going back and forth to the site, did I realise this is the QUINTESSENTIAL of all accesories of body adornment. Like Mother pucker of All Accesories.

I wanted to save up enough money to buy a set of custom cufflink forsomebody's birthday.. Plan cancelled. It would be so silly for me to splurge RM70 on cufflink for someone who just barked on my face for reasons I can't decipher. No. I do not have a boyfriend. Anyway, the whole week of woofing is a more than solid reason to forget the idea of getting the cufflinks from Mei

And so, I got my attention diverted back to something that amazes me. OK, maybe it doesn't amaze many other people out there. But.. hey!! I dress up in traditionally hand drawn materials to work! How often can I spot my customers in the latest stud bags or body chain? NIL.

It's the perfect edgy accessories for girls who can't live with their skimpy black dress. Like... how else can you dress up those dull black skimpy body baring dress right?

I purposely bought this black toga bodycon....

Just so I can get a body chain =D =D

cun or not!? The toga chain at just RM35!

It's gorgeous!!!! even on mannequin. Can u imagine it worn on a person?

It's like this!!

I am getting one to wear and impress the ah-lians in G6 Club the next time I step in =P
But I am not telling you what designs I will be customising =P
Go get yourself one too! If you are not the creative person, then make it simple and opt for the readily made toga chain. but if you do have something in mind, email that woman and give her your 1001 request. I am sure she can make it for you! =D

Go get your chain in Eff-Bombs now!

Lah Lah Lah

This Sunday is by far the worst and least productive  day it can ever get in my life so far. Woke up at 4.59pm! Beat Mei by sleeping an extra 49 minutes more. But she pops sleeping pills and I don't! And the intended plan to go to Palate Palatte for lunch and have a tour of Lap Sap's bargain bazaar did not materialise. I was expecting the woman to call and wake me up. And she had the same expectation of me too :P

Here's a bit of Lah Lah Land's Junkyard Sales on 22 May 2010. I tagged along with the woman to see what's happening in a JunkYard Sales :D  It's always interesting to be in a Lah Lah Land event as everyone seems drugged out. And it is not hard to spot any guy or girls in mushroom head as it seems to be the trend of their genre.

Went back at about midnite and missed dinner.. Kepong is not so bad after all despite me having biased thoughts about the Kepong vicinity -__- It has a 24 hours MacD to serve the ah lians and ah beng who are back from ' feng tau' session.

wah I am loving my elepphant chain with my slouchy top

And need not guess what  I bought! Yeah, I always believe in buying something from any bazaar that I visit. Doing my part for the community despite not having enough financial freedom.. =D
Ain't I noble?

Dukes of Blizzards =P

Sunday was really bad as I stressed earlier. To add salt to the wound, I locked myself out of the house at 7pm and stood outside at the public pathway waiting for mom to reach home at 9.45pm -__- In between, I read the entire Sunday paper, stretched both my legs on the balcony, walked down the stairs from level 7 to ground floor, bought a Cornetto, licked the ice cream back to 7th floor via stairs, tried a few trick in attempt to open the door. Failed.
Oh Sunday... I only savoured 3 hours of you. I brought Saturday with me when I refused to wake up till it's 5pm. And I stare and stood in blankness from 7pm to 9.45pm. That 3 hours were those in between hours where I managed to enjoy a 15 minutes business in toilet, half hour Tamil movie, half hours Doraemon and some crap in between..
Oh Sunday!

I Want to Pee On Mother Earth

In a few hours time I will be rubbing shoulder with a convention of people in vacuum mask :D
I wonder if they will float themselves to the seats of the conference all the way from the entrance. If they do then it will be a great sight.
I also wonder what does the National Geographic Store sells. Dawn was yapping a lot of sentences when she called to confirm my attendance. Am not very sure if I heard it correctly, but I thikn she was yapping about the store selling clutches ( with faces of extinct tapir perhaps), sling bags (with sights of the dinosaur fossils perhaps) and some morphing giant globe thing that could most probably talk or react. Or glow.
What would you ask when you attend a press conference that basically announces to  the press on the coming Planetary Congress on October 2010.
Dawn specifically says NO to love question. Oh well, that wasn't in my mind anyway.
Besides being keen to see if I can promote my batik to the audience and fellow people in the mask, I only have one curiosity; how does the astronauts pee afloat. I dare not ask Dawn if I can ask. Most probably this is a very common knowledge that I can just google 'astronaut peeing' and I will find the whole wiki-info about it. Most probably with images too.
Anyway, we will know in a few hours time how it goes.. I hope the low-caste camera I have will not humiliate me much. Think I will just make out story about how I was in a rush as I had appointment till wee hours and left home without those gungho picture capturing devices that requires whatever focal / vernacular / watever watever  mode..
As usual I am starting to have this tendency to post a picture of me at the end  of every post. Today I felt like I needed a radical picture. For a sober night. With one glass of mojito in my colon. Only. I must be lacking.

Radical baju kurung. No?

Radical tea-cup dress. I think I am getting the magic bra with a push button to expand.

aiiihh.... I miss wearing saree
