Safi Beauty Cream

Ever since I have discovered the cheaper alternative to this 'SP Cream' from Wangi, I have never stop trying the different types available in the drugstore. I first started with the Safi Balqis Perfect 10 valued at RM7.90 with a 10% discount from Watson.
Of all that I have tried this is the best so far.

Safi Balqis Perfect 10 Beauty Cream

During those period of using the first tub of Perfect 10.

It really does give a fairer and more even complexion. It works great as a base before the application of foundation or in my case, BB Cream. One small tub last for more than 3 months based on my daily application =D  Super economy!

As I finished the first bottle, I thought of trying other range, thinking that maybe a GOLD one would give me the suppleness. I got the Safi Rania Gold @RM10.90 (if not mistaken) but with discount as usual, if yo buy from the pharmacy ;)

Don't like the texture for this Gold version. Super sticky and oily. A few friends started to follow suit after seeing me yapping about the goodness of beauty cream. 2 of them bought the gold version one. One can't take the greasiness and have breakouts after that. The other one is loving it on her slightly dry skin.
I guess now you know. Beauty cream doesn't really have an indication whether its for oily or dry skin. It is after all for general beauty, like that ever famous Hazeline Snow cream that god knows whatever it is for =D

Later on I was tempted to try different ones since the Gold doesn't really suit me. So I got the Safi Beauy Cream with the green cap - that claims to have 'lidah buaya'. As this is not a proper beauty review, I won't bother to explain what's lidah buaya =D

The green cap one was OK. Better than gold but not as good as the blue cap Perfect 10. As I am using as a make up base, so there isn't much to comment about. As long as its non greasy then I am fine. but I do nothing that it's hard to spread the cream on evenly. Which could be due to the fact that the skin is not fully hydrated. Most of the time I am in a rush, so all beauty stuff would have to seep in FAST!! As I slap on fast too, without ample time for it to sit in. Which may result in unevenness when slapping on the cream and warming it over the face.

I noticed in the pharmacy that the stock for a particular Safi beauty cream is always low in stock - the yellow cap one. With some different ingredients but I forgot >.<
Hence I purchased that too when I finally spotted only one more tub left.
It's almost the same as the green cap one in terms of stickiness and evenness when warming onto  face.
It's slightly easier to slather on. Perhaps this time I make sure that other moisturiser and what not have settled in before slapping on more  stuff.

When any of these cream are warmed up nicely on the skin by gently pressing your hands onto the face, it pretty much gives you a smoother platform to put on your foundation or BB cream.

I am not very certain on how the cream have benefited me much. After all it is only a mere RM7 per tub. but I think in general it has slightly corrected my uneven skin tone very lightly in the long run. And true to what my Malay girlfriend who uses it since high school to prevent pimples, in a way I did notice the lessening of pimples popping out.

This is definitely going to be in my beauty list for all time.
And who says locally produced goods are no good?  O.o

Before the beauty cream was made known to me

Now that I have used the Safi range of Beauty Cream

Beauty Box Edition August & Burt's Bee Scrub

Wasn't expecting boss to be in today, but he was! Which means I am going to get my Salary de June!!
Yeap, I am in a position that doesn't always permit me to get my pay on time - as I have other workers's salary to consider before mine ;/

What was more happy today was receiving my August Edition of Beauty Box from Fabulous Finds! The one month of wait for the arrival of these box with content unknown seriously makes one more eager to await for its arrival =D

This is my second box. I have gotten it's debut box in July and am officially addicted to those little surprise enveloped in this pretty pink box. The Burt's Bees Sugar Scrub with Pomegranate and Cranberry Exfoliator sachet from July's edition got me so excited. One of the best exfoliant I've tried so far and will definitely be getting the actual product whenever I come across Burts Bee's shop.

The August Edition was nothing less exciting than the debut one. I shall keep the review coming in YourShoppingKaki.com very soon!

Mini Review : Burt's Bees Sugar Scrub
Got this lil sachet in July's box as mentioned and its oh-wow-amazing!
Perhaps I have not seen or used much scrub,  but this is by far the best. I've tried something similar from a Korean brand  I can't remeber which) but the sugar concentrate here is much coarser and doesnt melt as fast.
Not believeing it's really sugar, I sort of put my tongue in it and gave it a lick :p
Yorr!! Whatever it is, it is sweet as sugar!! I guess it must be sugar!

I have always have this problem of dried and squashed up knuckle on the left hand. yes, only on the  left hand. No issues on the right hand because I have a habit to lift my left hand higher when typing and hence pressing on the knuckle all the time. But I don't have such habit for the right hand. I just don't know why!
Then at the time of typing this, I just realised something. The right side of my desk is facing the outer part of the table and has no obstruction. The left side is however.. urmm... filled with an assortment of stuff that was permanently there since ages.. -_-

spot the left side! >.<

The scrub was coarse enough yet not painful when scrubbed on. It eventually melts and creates this waxy feel, as if layering the skin with a layer of oil. Some may not like the layer of oil but on coarse areas like my knuckle it's moisturising enough! =D

Amazingly enough, it does wonders when rubbed on to the coarse knuckle of mine!

See how the dark color were reduced just in a single scrub session!

More before / after in case you were not convinced.

what I meant by that layer of waxy feel. See how the water drops just doesnt drop or coagulate together, as if bound by a layer of oil.

I didnt read much instruction if I should lather up again with any other body wash after using the scrub. As it was pretty moisturising, I thought of leaving it as it is since I used it after body wash. It was tad too sticky leaving it as it is that I am not sure fi I will leave traces on papers if I were to rest my hand on stacks of A4 paper. Hence I decided to lather up and wash off the waxy feel =D

Overall, I still love this scrub as it's pretty good in getting rid of those dead cells and not to mention gives a good layer of moisturise to dry skin.

Fabulous Finds indeed

The first time I came across Fabulous Finds was from this regular blog that I always read - Street Love.
This is really interesting to share!
Apparently Fabulous Finds is a 'beauty box subscription service' organisation. Whereby, I assume they source for beauty sampling products from manufacturers and later offers it to the public to subscribe to their service in order to sample the products at a minimal rate of RM35 a month.

What great direct approach to the target segment. I am always intrigued by the many ways one can approach the concept of marketing. And this is indeed a pretty fabulous idea to target of beautyholics who is always on the prowl to buy new beauty products every time they flip thru beauty magazines and spotted something new.

With only RM35 a month to be a subscriber, you will get to enjoy sampling products (of about 4-5 items) delivered to your doorstep. And yes, nothing is free, despite being samples. I don't think you can get free Shiseido samples by asking them over the counters. Hence, I guess RM35 would not be too hefty a sum to pay, especially if you are a beauty junkie who would most probably spend a larger amount than that to buy an original size and end up not using it after a first trial.

Of Those Beauty Tutorials..

Getting ready to work nowadays seems to be more time-dragging than usual. I gotta look good!. Looking fanstico.. Afterall, it is a male-dominated office and I ain't going to let their lackadaisical in dressing affect me into being a woman. Yes, a painful, biased point perhaps, coming from a female who would do anything just to look good enough for the crowd. An unknown crowd too most of the time. I don't think I have ever skipped a day with no proper make-up before going into office.

Now that I am embracing the need to look prim and proper and hot (of course) at work (despite working *foreveralone* in the office), I think I am developing some serious shit case of water retention

a freaking 73kgs by NOW!! grandmother of god!! :(

I just don't know where those water comes from!!! And I would want to believe it is water and not poly unsaturated fats. Please no :(

I have been staying awake almost every night digging these inspirational make up tips from BeautyQQ and am totally addicted!! What happened to the 33 years old woman who is supposed to spend more time writing corporate shitzels!? -_-
The wonders of the online world is seriously killing me. So much to learn, so much to be inspired and so much to emulate!

Watching make up tutorials is like... watching Indian movies. They said that when you watch way too much Indian movies, you have a tendency to hope that the man of your life will always be as good looking as Amir Khan, as caring and lovey as Sharukh Khan and as macho as Hrithik Roshan. And that as a woman, one day, sooner or later, no matter how, you will fall unto the hand of a man with the mentioned 3 persona. But in most time, in real life, it doesn't get materialise...
The same with good beauty make up tutorial. Once you watched a couple of it, you start to get a hang of it and attempted the various form of technique taught and visually, emotionally, 'hallucina-cally' envision yourself being transformed.into super-duper-gorgeous-u-wanna-cry hot babe..
Queenie Chan of BeautyQQ is addictive and is so awe-inspiring that I literally and practically am late to work ever since I wacthed and emulate her tutorials -_-
:
:
:

I condone shaded eye make-up technique - or whatever you call it..
previously learn from Michelle Phan =D

did you realise I have a 'senget' eyebrow? :(
I am seriously considering cosmetic surgery, if I have not mention before in any post.

eyebrow so wrong...

most probably the thickest eyebrow ever done for a dance act..
still senget!!

the adverse effect of too many Youtube make up tutorial - you just got to see the after result of each tutorial learnt!

can't remember where I learnt this side-swept bangs from. Further enhance my sponge-bob's face...

not sure what is this for, but the first attempt on trying the new foundation i got from Borjois - the organic foundation made from melons and such... yeah, weird much but feels light and orgasmic!! >.<
Eyelining with kajal cone-stick <3

All of the made-up look above have been layered with a good spread of the Safi Balqis - Perfect 10 Beauty Cream before spreading of the Missha BB Cream or the Borjois Healthy Mix Foundation

One happy family- Borjois - Healthy Mix Foundation / Kajal cone / Ettusais Eyeliner

days without makeup and with a slightly better complexion.. or perhaps it's the sunlight..

the cheap and useful skin primer - Safi Balqis Beauty Cream at below RM8!!
I have tried smelling the Gold Series of the beauty cream and don't think I like the halia or whatever chemical smell in it. This is by far the best after the Wangi SP Cream which cost me RM35 a single palette ;)

But on most of the days when I am in the confinement of my small little house, I must say I looked like SHIT
pure shit like that...

OK, bye, I want to go watch more tutorials videos of make up and pole dancing... yes, pole dancing.. =P

Hot Sunday Morning

It's been less than a month I am in a new environment but it feels like I have done so much for the past few weeks! Slept a lot. Wrote alot of business proposal, be if for others or for own pet projects. And one of the thing that I wanted to do much would be to be on the writing / blogging mode again. Just so, in case my command of English deteriorates unknowingly :S

Now that YourShoppingKaki is almost defunct on total hiatus, I have been itching itching and itching to write like crazy! Not to mention camwhoring neh =P
And it's rather pointless for me to vent in Suhana here cus there are after all so limited readers and only 6 followers so far. That's almost to the point of being pointless for me to even camwhore or review products to share with those shopaholics out there. Hence, would you all please support abit and keep my readership going up eh?

If all things goes as smooth as the white tofu, I will be back on the blog-wagon, blogging about fashion(pfttt...  I have a bland taste btw) in Keep In Vogue , a rather new review site.
I must say to have a site requires much dedication.. I have been pestered by lots of my friends to actually do a site of my own to do my own review and such since I yearn for fame so much =D
Don' think I will be doing that for now. Not at all. Not until I find a webmaster who will be able to manage the dotcom fashion magazine I envision, and roping in a panel of editorial team that comprises of  4 blog writers, 2 fashionista camwhorer to fill the fashion spread on daily basis, an independant photographer who have a love for sultry and almost near naked pictures and  a marketing personnel to man the advertising and promotion section and a continuous stream of reviewers from few age categories.

Oh welll... too much fantasies in a Sunday morning! ;)

To kickstart my new platform in Keep In Vogue, I had a few online sellers that have given so much support and have sponsored me their products for review in KIV =)
I am glad that the very least that my irritating camwhore and loosely written review is much appreciated hence the continuous support from them :)

Melody Love Fashion will be one of those that I will be reviewing on. If you are familiar with MLF, they are like a one stop centre for fashion needs. From Korean and Taiwan clothing to little purses to hair extension and of course their famous hair curling iron that is going cheap!

as seen on Nicole Richie - Grecian Bib necklace
Vintage Lace Collar Add-On Piece (great camwhore piece!)
Candy Coloured Slim and Sleek Purse <3

And of course, I love their set of 4 pc hair extension!! <3 <3 <3

Because, it transform this kinda hair ;

to this!!!

I twisted all the straight hair to blend into the curls ;)

volumising not!?

Stay tuned for the actual review in KIV ;)
I have no idea of the feel of the post as I have never worked with KIV before and not knowing them personally enough to know if they can accept my writing. Let's see...

The Next One After Cava

Is 21 Terrace and Tables and Chairs. Yeah this could most probably be my next favourite hang out location after Cava in Jalan Bangkung. In fact, I have slowed down in frequenting Cava after they have a batch of new waitresses who couldn't be specific on what is being served on my table...

I am not a clubber. Nor any serious freeloader who seriously hang out at night in clubs and lounge and pubs. but I do use up my lucnh hour very productively in places that serves good food. Yeah, I entertain for lunch  mah...

And when this Dimanche thingy is held in 21 Terrace ( let's just keep the name short =P ), I have no reason not to go! Nice food. Cheap drinks promo and complimented with some not-so-serious-shopping act. Yeah, they have bazaars' vendors to entertain your shopping need ;)
