SAFI RANIA GOLD

I have finally dedicated myself to almost finishing that small pot of Safi Balqis beauty cream after months. Not an easy task given the fact that I have a very short attention span. I didn't even manage to use up the SK2 Pitera essence, and the Nuskin range which I bought for couple of years back.

The scent of the Safi Balqis Beauty cream simply reminds me of the Hazeline Snow era.. Not sure if I have mentioned before but this is NOT anywhere resembling Hazeline Snow, which have a lighter texture and not as thick a putty as this beauty cream.. Till today I still am not sure what does the beauty cream is made of and what does it really do. I only based my knowledge of it based on the people whom I seen have used it before =P

Because I do not know in exact what it does, the RM6.90 cream have been functioning as a primer for my makeup. Used it after mosituriser and before BB cream.

The cream didn't really says what it does.. But I think after a prolong use, it does help to eliminate unevenness in skin tone.

I have just bought a new pot. This time I wanted to try the Safi Rania GOLD version.

Don't like the smell of it from the first sniff.. Safi Balqis Perfect 10 have got a more natural, creamy floral scent.. like serai or sort when you open it at  first. The Rania one smells more like any other cosmetically bottled cream, though not as heavy. I supposed when you have enhanced formula yada yada, more chemicals go in and the traditionalism of a beauty cream will take a back seat.

don't really fancy the super sticky texture of Rania Gold. Does all gold feel sticky? >.<

As beauty cream naturally is like some cement paste with a thick texture and not easily glide on, the Rania Gold one is over sticky. Abit yucky but still tolerable. YOur hands feels sticky, your face feels sticky. What 

I do to eliminate the stickiness is to warm my palms by rubing it and do the *facepalm* =D

Will give it sometime to try out the Rania GOLD for now and see if there's any differences.

I have never gotten any 'canggih' brushes for makeup before due to stinginess >.<

But they say good brushes can last you a lifetime making you look flawless. let's hope it is!

Of Those Beauty Tutorials..

Getting ready to work nowadays seems to be more time-dragging than usual. I gotta look good!. Looking fanstico.. Afterall, it is a male-dominated office and I ain't going to let their lackadaisical in dressing affect me into being a woman. Yes, a painful, biased point perhaps, coming from a female who would do anything just to look good enough for the crowd. An unknown crowd too most of the time. I don't think I have ever skipped a day with no proper make-up before going into office. 

Now that I am embracing the need to look prim and proper and hot (of course) at work (despite working *foreveralone* in the office), I think I am developing some serious shit case of water retention

I just don't know where those water comes from!!! And I would want to believe it is water and not poly unsaturated fats. Please no :(

I have been staying awake almost every night digging these inspirational make up tips from BeautyQQ and am totally addicted!! What happened to the 33 years old woman who is supposed to spend more time writing corporate shitzels!? -_-

The wonders of the online world is seriously killing me. So much to learn, so much to be inspired and so much to emulate!

Watching make up tutorials is like... watching Indian movies. They said that when you watch way too much Indian movies, you have a tendency to hope that the man of your life will always be as good looking as Amir Khan, as caring and lovey as Sharukh Khan and as macho as Hrithik Roshan. And that as a woman, one day, sooner or later, no matter how, you will fall unto the hand of a man with the mentioned 3 persona. But in most time, in real life, it doesn't get materialise...

The same with good beauty make up tutorial. Once you watched a couple of it, you start to get a hang of it and attempted the various form of technique taught and visually, emotionally, 'hallucina-cally' envision yourself being transformed.into super-duper-gorgeous-u-wanna-cry hot babe.. 

Queenie Chan of BeautyQQ is addictive and is so awe-inspiring that I literally and practically am late to work ever since I wacthed and emulate her tutorials -_-

not sure what is this for, but the first attempt on trying the new foundation i got from Borjois - the organic foundation made from melons and such... yeah, weird much but feels light and orgasmic!! >.<

the cheap and useful skin primer - Safi Balqis Beauty Cream at below RM8!!

I have tried smelling the Gold Series of the beauty cream and don't think I like the halia or whatever chemical smell in it. This is by far the best after the Wangi SP Cream which cost me RM35 a single palette ;)

But on most of the days when I am in the confinement of my small little house, I must say I looked like SHIT

pure shit like that...

OK, bye, I want to go watch more tutorials videos of make up and pole dancing... yes, pole dancing.. =P

Phailed Angelina Jolie Inspired Make Up

Perhaps the make up didn't fail as much, but my constant happy smirk and vain smile could have be the major FAIL factor =D
Had a brief watch of Promise Phan's Angelina Jolie make over while slathering on the BB cream. I have less tolerance in learning days ahead and prefer to watch and do nowadays.

I no longer uses found-du-teint since I have discovered BB cream and Missha of Korea is my favourite =D Oh well, not that I have taken much initiative to try other brands. Yet.

Slap on BB cream evenly and set it with loose powder. As I am merely doing it for camwhore purpose, hence slap thick thick also OK since I am going to sweat and melt my own make up.

Slathered on BB cream and set it on the lips too =P

I love nude lips!

Fill in those brows of yours. I normally dig my Etude brow filler pen which work wonders and gives really natural strokes. On lazy days, black / dark brown eye shadow normally does the job faster =P

Anyway....

Swipe on the white shade to highlight the brows. Oh! Before I did that, I have dabbed on Body Shop Highlighting Concealer on the arches of the brow. As what Promise taught ;D 

Swipe the white shades thoroughly overall (according to me)

Then use a shade of brown to start shading. Promise uses a relatively dark shade. But I chose a lighter shade of brown compared to hers as she had slightly tanned complexion and I am definitely not tanned. Hence too dark a shade may appear too edgy and hard. Stroke on to the middle of the lid and blend, blend, blend.

I followed the nose contouring too.. which appear kinda scary on me =P She have got prominent nose and I have got Jackie Chan nose.. =0= Anyway, since I do not know how to shade a Jackie Chan nose, I followed how Promise shade lor....

Seriously a wrong approach on the nose =P

Then, as seen in the video, I am to line my center of eyelid with liquid liner. Which I did and it didn't turn out pretty. Which I later demolish by rubbing some Bio-Oil and re-draw the second time. Which also is as screwed as the first time. I don't know why! So I decided to smudge it with the brush to soften the edges. Though that was not what was told in the video ;)

Line the centre of the lids and finally line the edge of the eyes as usual and create the cat eyes' lines as usual.

Cheek contouring is fun! But I must admit much skills is required and will only work when paired with good skills in angling your face when camwhoring. I have yet to perfect the skills ;(

So yeah, and the basic application applies.. line the lower edges with white eye pencil to create bigger eyes, then line with black shadow for the sunken effect and a stroke of brown acroos the whole of the lower lid (for don't know what reason) and later finish off with white glitter or sort at the corner of the eyes..

The cheek contour didn't work well, I have to suck in ;)

All in all, I still have some decent look for weekend camwhore session =D
But not in resemblance in Angelina Jolie's. Not her mom. Or her aunt -__-
